Loosing coolant of my Honda Civic 94, head gasket problem and car temp gauge is showing overheating.?

Loosing coolant of my Honda Civic 94.?

I filled coolant reservisor upto max mark and also poured coolant into radiator. but after 3 - 4 days there was no coolant. I again put some coolant and it lost again. My car's temp gauage showing overheating. Today I observed white smoke in and some leakage under hood. What might be problem?

One day, I checked with a mechanic and he indentified that their is lekage in radiator. So would like to know how much charge for repair a radiator. Which is best option, replace with new one or repair old one. I am new in auto so please reply as i am facing problem of over heating of my car.

After some days I checked with HONDA dealer. They did dignose test for the cost of 86$ and found problem in head gasket and repair cost will be 900$. So 900$ is really required to to pay for fixing this problem or it can be less. Or is there any alternative to head gasket. Or if I will not change, what will happend ?Loosing coolant of my Honda Civic 94, head gasket problem and car temp gauge is showing overheating.?First Of All... I dont know why you fools always take your cars to the dealer, especially a honda. Anyhow... Depends where the leek is. If its on the bottom, its possible you can repair it, but if its leeking from the top by the radiator cap, then you need to replace the radiator. Its really easy to install, just buy it at Pep Boys, Kragen, or Auto Zone and install it yourself. If thats too hard for you then just open the yellow pages and start calling all radiotor shops and find the price best for you. No Point taking it to the dealer and pay your life savings. Good LuckLoosing coolant of my Honda Civic 94, head gasket problem and car temp gauge is showing overheating.?If you want to keep the car, get it fixed ASAP. If the head gasket is the main leak, you should go to an independent garage for another repair cost estimate. The labor costs from a dealer are the most expensive way to repairs. If the antifreeze coolant has mixed with the oil in the crankcase, you would be wise to get this problem corrected in the next couple of days before serious damage is done to the bearings and cylinder walls. Or you could try to trade the car for something else, like a BMW, MBz, or Toyota.Loosing coolant of my Honda Civic 94, head gasket problem and car temp gauge is showing overheating.?how much for it?Loosing coolant of my Honda Civic 94, head gasket problem and car temp gauge is showing overheating.?would be cheaper to buy a parts car with a good engine and have the complete engines swapped.Loosing coolant of my Honda Civic 94, head gasket problem and car temp gauge is showing overheating.?uh first off check the oil, if it is a light brown it has water in it so you would have a blown head gasket, if it is the color of oil change the thermostat and check the hoses. Make sure the hoses are tight. Go to auto zone and ask someone they usually will help without charge and get a Haynes book for your car and this will help u with this car. If you do not fix the problem u will pretty much have to buy a new carLoosing coolant of my Honda Civic 94, head gasket problem and car temp gauge is showing overheating.?Your car is 13 years old. Whether you bought it new or old you must know something about the history of the age of the various components. Some ot the suggestions in the various inputs are good . You need to examine and inspect all the hose connections, any visible signs of deterioration on the radiator, corrosion on fins, heated or blown out fins, radiator cap seal, signs of water in the engine oil - brownish colour check - if its been there for a while, any visible signe of heated engine gasket. Engine oil level and colour.

When you get an estimate get a detailed parts and labour report and ask what they are going to do. Go to a reliable car garage rather than a dealer. They could do a pressure test to determine where the leak is unless it's a gross leak and its leaking all over the place.

Like a doctor, the more clearly you describe the symptoms, when you first noticed any signs of trouble, the more clearly an honest garage dealer could identify the problem and a possible solution at a reasonable cost. If you lie you will pay the price.Loosing coolant of my Honda Civic 94, head gasket problem and car temp gauge is showing overheating.?It's terminal. You're looking at thousands of dollars in repairs. Pay someone $100 to haul the piece of junk away.
